About Us

Anderson Architect is a dynamic architectural practice based in Portadown and established in 1985 by David Anderson, offering a full range of professional design services to the private home individual or business owner, be they refurbishing, extending, or wishing to build a new property large or small in a traditional or contemporary style.

DAVID ANDERSON is the Principal of the Practice, established in 1985. He was educated at Queens University, Belfast, gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree and after early training in Henley-on-Thames in England and Philadelphia, USA, worked for 5 years for G.P. & R.H. Bell, Architects in their Lurgan Office, before establishing Anderson Architect.

WAYNE GIBSON is the most senior of assistants, having joined in February 1998, while completing his honours degree in Arch. Technology & Management (part time) at the University of Ulster. In recognition of his 10 years commitment to the office he has just been made an Associate of the Practice.

ERIKA MEGYERIOVA joined the Practice in January 2005 after graduating in Architecture from the Bratislava University in Slovakia in June 2005. She worked for a short while in an Architectural Practice in Dublin before coming to Portadown. She is also studying for a PhD in Working Environments through her University.

MICHAEL MURTAGH joined Anderson Architect in July 2007 after receiving a 2.1 BScHons Degree in Architecture (Part I) from Queens University, Belfast. He has studied Fine Art in the University of Ulster and is proficient in Photoshop, Archicad and AutoCad and is currently looking into studying part time for his BArch (Part II) through the Practice.

BARBARA McNALLY is the Office Secretary and Accounts Manager. She has been with the Practice since its inception over 21 years ago.
